Students and Faculty Return from Bank of America Internship Project

Erskine College’s business students return from successful internship project at Bank of America Head Quarters in Charlotte North Carolina.
Assistant Professor of Business Anthony Santella and several students including Sam Hawthorne, Amy Shadden, Kim Bussey, and Patricia Cardinale worked with executives and managers during Erskine’s January/Winter term session. “The students had a chance to do substantive and challenging work, and they rose to the challenge, even to the point of getting a round of applause at an executive meeting.” said Santella.

Student Patricia Cardinale also seemed excited about the opportunity, “I got so much out of this experience rather than just reading about business.” Cardinale went on to say “I am so glad I am at Erskine’s business program. I can’t believe the opportunities I’ve already had; and I’m only a freshman.”

Cassie Hixon; Office Manager Palmetto Primary Care Physicians, Charleston SC; Winter 08 Graduate
Within one year promoted to an office manager of 4 physicians and 30 full time employees. Cassie has also been invited to sit on the corporate wide process improvement board. In both positions she is the youngest ever hired and promoted to that level. Way to go Cassie!!

Said Miss Hixon, “I am so glad that I have had hands on experience at Erskine. Everything that I am doing right now I have done in a classroom setting from leading, to managing through marketing. I feel very prepared for the journey that is ahead of me. I as feel truly blessed.”
