The Erskine Experience

Erskine College is a place of higher yearning. It is a place of genuine learning that is like no other - where lasting friendships and lifelong memories can be made.

Christian commitment

To make a real difference in the world, hearts need to be changed, relationships developed, and faith exercised. Come to campus and you will find students examining who Jesus Christ is and how lives can be changed by knowing him and sharing him with others. You will also find students involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Life, small Bible study groups, Good News Club, Habitat for Humanity, Student Christian Association, and mission projects.

Smaller school, bigger calling

At Erskine, our difference starts with our size. Small size, that is. Which means you can do things here you just can't do at bigger universities, like walking two minutes to class, knowing the names of all your classmates, or getting one-on-one time—anytime—with your professors.

Personal attention

At Erskine, you are taught by professors, not graduate students, and the curriculum is based on the liberal arts tradition. Erskine is about mentoring and relational learning designed to spur greatness, enhance your academic growth, and prepare you for tomorrow's world. Erskine simply will not compromise your academic experience. Isn't that what you'd expect from a smaller school with a bigger calling?

Concentrated study

Erskine offers a 4-1-4 calendar, which includes a monthlong Winter Term in January, allowing students to pursue concentrated study in a single field. Students may complete externships for credit, study abroad or stay at home, but whether on campus or on another continent, Winter Term is a time to grow. One month. One focus. Once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Extreme destination

Do you like to explore? Then you have come to the right place. Nestled in the upstate of South Carolina, Due West is hard to find, but even harder to leave. The campus is friendly, caring and open, and is located in a beautiful setting. Larger cities are within 30 minutes (Greenwood or Anderson), and metropolitan areas are within an hour's drive (Greenville/Spartanburg) or two or three hours (Atlanta to the south and Charlotte to the north).

The bottom line

Erskine students get a kick out of their experience.

Erskine is a college and the college is a community. We teach. We study. We share our lives. We learn and we're good at it. We work hard and we laugh even harder.

We expect our students to establish relationships that will last a lifetime, serve with their hearts, and make a difference in the world.

Erskine College is looking for exceptional students who desire a truly exceptional educational experience.
