"Athenian Women"

Purpose: To promote sisterhood through service and social projects done as an outreach to Erskine College and its community. The Athenian Literary Society is the oldest female society existing on the Erskine College campus today. We are proud to count many of our members among the leaders of Erskine and the diversity of our membership is second to none. Our goal is to promote Christian emphasis in the activities that we are involved in.

Founding Date: 1956

Service: Project Smile and Relay-for-life.

Social: Athenian Spring formal, End-of-the-Year Banquet, Tea Parties, barbecues, rush each semester, and bonding activities.

Those females interested in becoming members shall attend one of two open meetings of the semester and two of three study breaks.
