The Erskine College Department of Economics and Business Administration invites outstanding teacher-scholars to apply for a tenure track appointment in Economics starting in the fall of 2013. Faculty rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Economics from a regionally accredited institution and have demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to the campus community.
Responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities for the successful candidate may be somewhat flexible but will include: micro and macro- economics, business finance, intro to business and other undergraduate courses based on the department’s need, The normal teaching load is 8 courses (24 contact hours) or a 4-1-3 semester assignment. Other responsibilities include advising students, engaging in service to the department and college, and supporting the core curriculum of the college.

Assistant Professor of Psychology
Description:
The Erskine College Department of Psychology is seeking nominations and applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Counseling/Clinical Psychology beginning in late August 2013. This faculty position is open due to retirement of a faculty member after 40 years of service. The department is healthy and growing, with several dedicated labs and excellent office space.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate must be able to teach General Psych, Abnormal, Counseling Theory and Techniques, Group Processes, Behavior Modification, History and Systems, and other courses as needed.
- For licensed clinicians/counselors, or those pursuing licensure, there are opportunities for ongoing clinical work and supervision.
- Committee and other administrative participation is also a part of this collegial department.
- This position must develop/cultivate internship possibilities in area agencies and other opportunities for student placements
- While we strongly encourage active research, this is not the central focus except where student involvement as partners in research is accentuated.
- This position will teach introductory and upper level courses
Qualifications:

Associate Professor of Music
The Department of Music is seeking applicants with a commitment to liberal arts education for a tenure-track position in piano beginning Fall 2013.
Responsibilities:
Teach applied piano; coordinate and participate in accompanying; Coordinate adjunct piano instructors; and teach courses consonant with the qualifications and experience of the candidate; also, participate and lead in faculty governance and strategic planning at departmental and institutional level.

DESCRIPTION: The Erskine College Education Department invites outstanding applicants to apply for a full-time, possibly tenure track position of Assistant Professor of Physical Education in the Education Department to begin in late August 2013.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching a variety of undergraduate physical education courses with an emphasis on elementary pedagogy and supervision of student teachers.
Applicants should be capable of teaching the following courses:
*Introduction to Physical Education
*Elementary Physical Education Methods
*Adaptive Physical Education Methods
*Team Sports
*School and Community Health
*Individual Sports
*Personal Health
*Exercise and Weight Control
*Other courses to support the program
Applicants should also be qualified to supervise student teaching.
Applicants should be qualified to administer the National Association for Sport and Physical Education Standards/South Carolina State Standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:

*A terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) preferred, master’s degree required in physical education and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching.
*Public school teaching experience is strongly desired
