Accessing the VALUE LINE INVESTMENT SURVEY Online

Erskine College / McCain Library

ELIGIBLE USERS:

 

The Value Line Investment Survey Online--Standard Edition is available to current Erskine students, faculty, and staff.  Access to Value Line is password protected.  You will need to contact the reference desk at McCain Library to receive the correct User ID and Password.  You may contact the library reference desk by email or phone (379-8784), or you may visit the library in person.  If you use email, be sure to include:

 

  • Your name
  • Your contact information ( email address and/or phone number)
  • Number from your current Erskine photo ID card or McCain Library card

McCain Library also has the print version of the Value Line Investment Survey in the reference collection with the call number REF HG 4501 .V262.  The print version is updated weekly.

 

 

HOW TO ACCESS:

 

To access Value Line online you will need access to the Internet and a standard web browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator).  Adobe Acrobat Reader software greatly enhances the functionality of Value Line Online and is highly recommended.  You may download Internet Explorer, or download Netscape Navigator, or download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free.

Use the following steps to access Value Line Investment Survey Online--Standard Edition:

  1. Point your web browser to www.valueline.com.
  2. Click on Research Center.
  3. You will be prompted to enter a USER ID and PASSWORD.  Enter these in the appropriate boxes and click on OK.  (Contact the library for User ID and Password.)
  4. You will be sent to a page where it may appear that you are not logged on.  Don’t worry.  Just click on Value Line Investment Survey Online--Standard Edition.
  5. Browse the appropriate section from the current issue or from back issues; OR, search for an industry (click on Lookup Industry) or a company (click on Lookup Company).
