Wellness Fair Sept. 21 to kick off Lunch 'n' Learn series

A Wellness Fair Sept. 21 in Watkins Student Center from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. will feature free and low-cost health screenings as well as health instruction and literature. An opportunity to sign up for the Erskine walking program will also be available. Erskine College students who attend the fair can receive convocation credit.

The first of six "Wellness Wednesday Lunch 'n' Learn" programs for the 2005-06 academic year, open to members of the Erskine College, Erskine Seminary, and Due West communities, will follow the Wellness Fair at 1 p.m.

Erin English, one of three top 2002 graduates of Erskine College, will speak on "Personal Wellness: A Foundation for Fulfillment" at the luncheon Wednesday. She recently completed a master's degree in public health at the University of Georgia.

The luncheon is free for all Erskine students who are on the meal plan, and $5 for students not on the meal plan. Cost is $5 for faculty and staff members, but lunch tickets will also be honored.

To secure a seat for the luncheon, contact Dr. Robyn Agnew at ragnew@erskine.edu or come to the Founders Room on the designated day and time.

Other Lunch 'n' Learn opportunities for the academic year, all set to begin at noon in the Founders Room, are scheduled for Oct. 19, Nov. 16, Feb. 15, March 15 and April 19.
