David Underwood photography exhibit at Erskine begins with Monday, Sept. 27, reception

The photography of David Underwood, professor of photography and chairman of the art department at Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn., will be displayed in the Bowie Arts Center at Erskine College beginning Monday, Sept. 27, with an opening reception for the artist scheduled from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

The exhibit continues through Oct. 22. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Convocation credit will be given to students who attend the reception.

Underwood's work is primarily formalist in approach, using assemblages of multiple photographic images.

Normal hours for the Bowie Arts Center are Monday through Thursday, 1-4:30 p.m., Saturday, 2-4 p.m., and the first Sunday of the month, 2-4 p.m.
