09.27.05 "Fund the Fleet" golf tourney returns to Grand Harbor The 8th Annual Fund the Fleet Golf Tournament will be held at Grand Harbor Country Club`s "The Patriot" course (Ninety Six) on Friday, Oct. 7, 2005 with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The tournament will be part of Erskine`s Homecoming 2005 festivities, which includes the Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. "The Patriot" is a Davis Love III design on the shores of Lake Greenwood. The format for the tournament is a Texas Scramble. All four players tee off on a hole, then all four players play their own ball from the best tee shot. Scoring will be done by a point system based on each individual`s handicap. The cost for an individual player is $100. You can sign up as an individual or with your own foursome. All proceeds of the tournament support the Erskine Athletic Scholarship program. Hole Sponsorships are also being sought for $200.
