09.27.06 Erskine nears target goal for Memorial Hall funding Erskine College and Seminary officials are making the final push for the remaining money required for the Memorial Hall construction/renovation project. Bobby McDonald, director of major gifts planning, sent out a plea earlier this week to the Erskine family, asking for help to obtain the remaining $54,000 in pledges needed to have 100 percent of construction fees in hand. Total cost of the Memorial Hall project is $5.25 million, he said. By Wednesday, an additional $14,000 was raised toward the needed amount, McDonald said. There is a gift matching challenge under way that would release an additional $250,000 to the campaign. To secure the gift match, the final $54,000 must be pledged by Friday.
