10 Seniors to Lead 1998 Erskine Baseball Team (full story)

The 1999 Erskine College baseball team will be celebrating 100 years of Erskine Athletics with a senior-laden team aiming to return to the CVAC tournament finals and bring home Erskine's first CVAC baseball championship.

Erskine College hosted 24 finalists Jan. 7-9 for the prestigious E.B. Kennedy Scholarship. The finalists participated in a round of meals, interviews, and receptions, with Erskine students Mitch Baker, Elijah Lovejoy, Dawn Sagonias, and Jason Tompkins, all E.B. Kennedy Scholars, serving as hosts and assistants during the weekend.

“Tony Takes a Shot,” a two-week event on college campuses throughout the country sponsored by Kellogg Food Service, gives students who are not recipients of athletic scholarships a chance to use their athletic talents to win a scholarship. Erskine's ARAMARK Food Service has been promoting this event over the last couple of weeks.

Science Building Pavers

Inscribed brick pavers will be put into place in the next two weeks outside in the patio area of the new Daniel•Moultrie Science Building. The pavers are inscribed with the names of donors, at the $250 giving level and above, and their loved ones.
