Erskine Fall Fest provides fun and a little fund-raising

Fall Fest 2004, sponsored by the Erskine Entertainment Board, brought a concert and several activities to the Erskine campus Friday and Saturday, along with scheduled soccer matches against CVAC opponent St. Andrews. Concert attendees, who were admitted free, made donations of money, clothing and canned goods to the Red Cross Hurricane Relief Project.

Performing on campus Saturday were Florez, Will Hoge and Jump. Student Activities Director Brooke Clinton said clear weather during the concert "made for a perfect night under the Towers" near the Erskine Building.

"Fall Fest went really well due to the efforts of Mila Wilmoth and the Entertainment Board," Clinton said. "The turnout was one of our best in years, and the large crowd appeared to enjoy all three bands."

Two Friday events, "Medieval Massacre," sponsored by SCA, and a hip-hop party in the Hangar, sponsored by the Association of Minority Students, were also part of Fall Fest.
