10.29.04 Erskine alumni to gather in Greenwood Monday Greenwood Country Club will be the setting for Monday's Erskine College and Seminary alumni gathering. The 6:30 p.m. meeting is open to all college and seminary alumni and friends who live in the Greenwood area. "This will be a chance for Erskine College and Seminary alumni to reconnect with each other and share memories of their years in Due West," said Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Affairs Ralph Patterson. "Alumni and friends who attend will not only have a chance to reminisce about Erskine, but also find out more about the college and seminary today from faculty and staff members who will be on hand." The Greenwood alumni meeting is the third in a series of gatherings planned during the next year. Three more meetings are scheduled before the end of the year: Nov. 8, Mecklenburg (Charlotte, N.C.), home of Fitz and Fuji Dove, 6:30 p.m.; Nov. 9, Coastal (Myrtle Beach), Grande Dunes Country Club, 6:30 p.m.; and Nov. 15, Columbia, Nelson, Mullins 17th Floor, 6:30 p.m. The Columbia meeting will feature an appearance by Erskine graduate and humorist Roddy Gray, who recently entertained alumni in Greenville. Meetings are planned in Winter 2005 for Gastonia/Kings Mountain (N.C.), Chester/Lancaster, Pee Dee, Rock Hill, Central Florida, Peace Valley, Fla., and West Coast, Florida. Dates will be announced. In Spring 2005, meetings are planned for Charleston, Aiken/Augusta, Spartanburg, Atlanta, Ga., Savannah, Ga., Piedmont Triad, and Asheville/Bonclarken, N.C. Dates will be announced. |
