10.29.04 From left, Sharon Linnehan and Jan Walker Erskine Art department faculty exhibit begins Nov. 1 Erskine College art professors Sharon Linnehan and Jan Walker will offer an exhibit of their work titled "Beneath the Surface" at the Bowie Arts Center Nov. 1-Dec. 5. Admission is free and the public is welcome. Linnehan says her monotypes "celebrate hopefulness and encouragement" while Walker describes her watercolor and ink work as "primarily abstract in nature, relying on textural elements to set up a sense of contrast." A reception and artists' discussion is planned for Nov. 15 from 3:30 -5 p.m. at the Bowie Arts Center. Normal hours for the Bowie Arts Center are Monday through Thursday, 1-4:30 p.m., Saturday, 2-4 p.m., and the first Sunday of the month, 2-4 p.m. For more information, call Jan Walker at 864-379-8867.
