Education major puts generations together as pen pals

When teacher education candidate Jaselyn Jennings, left, an Erskine junior from Waterloo, began considering ideas for a service learning project this year, she recalled a rewarding experience she'd had as a high school student. Inspired by that memory, Jennings designed a project called "Writing to Generations," matching local elementary school children with pen pals from the Due West Retirement Center.
