Erskine Alumni Board seeks nominations

The nominating committee of the Erskine Alumni Board meets Nov. 17 to decide on nominees for president-elect, secretary and board members.

The group will select nominees for several Alumni Association awards, including the alumni distinguished service award, the outstanding young alumni award, the volunteer leadership award, and honorary alumni.

The Erskine Alumni Association's Honors and Awards program is designed to recognize alumni and friends of the college and seminary for their outstanding accomplishments in a variety of areas.

The Alumni Distinguished Service Award is the most prestigious of all the awards given by the alumni association, and recognizes outstanding service to church, community, profession, and Erskine during the span of one's lifetime.

The Outstanding Young Alumni Award recognizes alumni of the past 15 years who have started to be a positive and encouraging influence in their community, church, profession and to Erskine.

The Volunteer Leadership Award recognizes those who have given faithful service as volunteers to Erskine.

Honorary Alumni are inducted each year as honorary members of the alumni association. These are non-alumni who have given of themselves in support of Erskine College and Seminary.

Any member of the Erskine Alumni Association who would like to offer suggestions to the committee is urged to send an e-mail (including some background information on prospective nominees) to alumni@erskine.edu.
