Lady Fleet Pick Up CVAC Win

The Erskine women's basketball team picked up their first conference win of the year Saturday with a 68-65 victory over Mt. Olive College.

Erskine senior center Becky McBroom scored 13 points, grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds and blocked 5 shots. Senior Mandy Wyatt scored 19 points to lead the Fleet. Freshman point guard Tiffany Mast and junior Ann Marie Dias both pitched in 12.

Erskine head coach Maggie Peeler was excited about the Fleet's opening CVAC win," This is a great win for us. I was so happy to see Becky play so well on the boards. Mandy and Anne Marie really shot the ball well for us. We are definitely improving."

Erskine next plays on the road Tuesday at Queens College. Game time is 5:30 pm.
