Erskine's Ninth Annual Colonial Christmas Another Success

The ninth annual presentation of "A South Carolina Colonial Christmas" at Erskine College sparked holiday spirit in audiences at six performances Dec. 4-6 this year. A fund-raiser for the Department of Music, the Christmas entertainment offers dinner, drama and music in the festive setting of the Bowie Arts Center.

This year's theme was "light," according to senior Kimberly Padgett of Loris, a member of the Erskine College Choraleers. She said most performances were sold out more than a week in advance. Participants included the Choraleers and Chamber Singers, directed by Dr. John Warren, and Sinfonia, Erskine's instrumental ensemble, directed by Dr. Stephen Emmons.
