Erskine College has announced that the new $7.4 million Daniel-Moultrie Science Center will be officially dedicated and opened with a ceremony at the building on Jan. 30, 1999, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Erskine Vice President for Development Lee Logan said there will be a program followed by tours of the facility, and that all alumni and friends of the college are invited to attend, Classes will officially begin in the building two days later at the start of Spring Term 1999.

Logan said the 46,000-square foot facility is on schedule to be completed by Dec. 31, 1998. During the month of January, which is Winter Term at the college, Logan said equipment will be moved into the building.

The building is named for the late Homozel Mickel Daniel of Greenville, and for the parents of former Trustee Robert L. Moultrie.
