The taping was set up by Erskine Chaplain Jay West and was done during fall semester.
In the tape, each of the four students introduce themselves and talk about their experiences teaching conversational English.
"I didn't think I was even going to be able to attend the recording because I was student teaching and had to be at school," Leland said. "But as it worked out, I was out the day they were taping and didn't remember until Jay asked me at lunch if I was going to make it. It was truly God's divine hand that made it so I could share my experience on the tape."
The summer program lasts six weeks and includes training and orientation.
While the Institute and the students are not allowed by the host countries to overtly witness to their students, they are encouraged to share their faith if asked. As the tape states, "you'll have tons of opportunities to share your convictions, your values, everything you hold dear..."
