"Festival of Music for Organ, Brass and Percussion" at Erskine Seminary Tonight

The Rev. Robert P. Glick, Associate Professor of Church Music and Worship at Erskine Theological Seminary, will join with several other musicians to present a "A Festival of Music for Organ, Brass and Percussion" tonight at 8 p.m. in Bowie Chapel on the Erskine Seminary campus.

Performing with Glick, who also serves as Associate Minister of Music at First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, will be Tim Bivins, Adjunct Professor of Brass Instruments at Erskine College; the Emerald Brass Quintet of Greenwood, including Tim Bivins and John Cooper, trumpet, Joey Lee, trombone, Sonja Crenshaw, French horn, and Allan Kaiser, tuba; and Erskine College junior Tobé Frierson, percussionist.

The program will feature works by Richard Strauss, Antonio Vivaldi, J.S. Bach, Marcel Duprè, Charles Ives, and Flor Peeters, concluding with G.F. Handel's "Music for the Royal Fireworks" arranged by Glick for brass, organ and percussion.

Admission is free and the public is welcome to attend.
