ERSKINE SEMINARY PROFESSOR RECOMMENDED FOR PROMOTION TO
MAJOR IN NATIONAL GUARD AND ARMY RESERVE CHAPLAINS CORPS
Dr. R.J. Gore, Associate Professor of Theology at Erskine Theological
Seminary and member of the reserve Chaplains Corps, has been recommended
for Reserve of the Army promotion to the rank of major. Selections for
major were highly competitive, with only 79 of 193 officers being
recommended, for a rate of 41 percent.
In addition to teaching seminary classes, Dr. Gore serves as
Director of Continuing Education.
Erskine Theological Seminary was founded in 1837 by the Associate
Reformed Presbyterian Church.
