A premier exhibit of works from the 1997 Governor's School for the Arts will be at the Bowie Arts Center on the Erskine College campus during the entire month of September. A self-portrait from last year's Governor's School exhibit was awarded national recognition and hung at the Cocoran Gallery in Washington this summer. A gallery reception will be held Monday, September 15 from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Bowie Arts Center is located on the campus of Erskine College on Bonner Street in Due West. Normal hours when the college is in session are Monday through Thursday 1 to 4:30 p.m., Saturday 2 to 4 p.m., and the first Sunday of each month 2 to 4 p.m. For further information, please call Mrs. Margaret Adams at 864-379-8867.
