Patients wait for help in Guatemala Stauff Seeks Donations For Guatemala Mission Trip By Nov. 15 According to Erskine Vice President for Finance and Operations Bill Stauff, 16 Erskine students are interested in traveling to Guatemala on two mission trips this year. Stauff and his wife Bert plan to lead the students on an 8-day trip in December and a 10-day trip in March, and are hoping to raise needed funds for the first trip this week. Stauff said the students will be involved in an evangelistic crusade conducted by missionary Edwin Martinez, who spoke recently at Erskine College Convocation. In addition to singing and offering testimonies at the crusade, the students will work on construction projects at Berea Bible College and assist with medical mission work. "One of Erskine's strategic goals is that students have opportunities for missions experiences," said Stauff. "What an opportunity we have for God to change lives as He did on our last trip to Guatemala." Stauff is soliciting prayer and financial support for the proposed mission trips. "The cost for each of these students below who want to go this December is about $1,200 each," Stauff said. "They are trying very hard to raise funds. For many of these students lack of funding will be their only obstacle." Tax-deductible checks for this ministry can be designated "Guatemala Missions Trip" and mailed to Erskine College, Attention: Jan Hudson, Gifts Manager, Box 608, Due West, SC 29639. Stauff is asking for contributions to be made by Nov. 15 so airline tickets can be purchased in time to leave Dec. 26. Any funds received will be split among all the participating students.
