Erskine Junior Ali Fulcher sustained serious injuries while preparing for the equestrian nationals last week. She was thrown from the horse she was riding and fell into a wooden fence, chipping three bones in her vertebrae. The nationals were held this past weekend at Mount Holyoke, Mass.

Fulcher, injured on Tuesday, was hospitalized in Abbeville and released on Saturday. She is recovering at her parents home.
