David Moore, a 1994 graduate of Erskine College, has joined the Business Office staff as Controller, it was announced by Jean Pinson, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.

Moore, a graduate of Crescent High School in Iva, was a history major at Erskine with a minor in education, and did his student teaching at Belton-Honea Path High School.

He had planned to teach high school, but instead went to work for the State Attorney's office with South Carolina Child Support Enforcement.

“It was part of my job to go to court and establish and enforce child support orders,” he said. “We were also responsible for maintaining records of payments and coordinating with state and interstate agencies.”

Moore, who started work on Jan. 25, is no stranger to the Business Office at Erskine. “I was assigned there for several years as a student worker and am looking forward to working with them again,” said Moore. “Kind of feels like I'm coming home.”

Moore lives in Anderson with his wife Dawn Williams Moore, a member of the Erskine class of 1995.
