ODK Taps New Members at Oct. 17 Convocation

The Erskine College chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), the National Leadership Honor Society, tapped new members during Erskine convocation Oct. 17.

Founded at Washington and Lee University, ODK recognizes and encourages achievement in scholarship, athletics, campus and community service, social and religious activities, campus government, journalism, speech, and the creative and performing arts.

Five indispensable qualifications for membership are exemplary character, responsible leadership, service in campus and community life, superior scholarship, genuine fellowship, and consecration to democratic ideals.

Members of ODK for 2000-2001 include seniors Melanie Adkins, Mitch Baker, Jay Bower, Claire Carr, Rachel Cox, Lauren Eudy, Clare Goudelock, Kylie Grant, Pamela Henry, Kate Hinchey, Kellie Howie, Daniel Koon, Elijah Lovejoy, Amy Meggs, Alicia McJunkin, Jenni Norris Stone, Jynne Stowe, Burk Suits, and Beth Topping, and juniors Carolyn Bursley, David Coleman, Erin English, Kristin Fisher, Sarah Habrun, Brandon Martin, Christy Milner, Chris Spires, Chad Todd, and Jason Tompkins.
