Erskine Open 2000 at Hunter's Creek

The 2000 Erskine Open Golf Tournament
will be held Tuesday, June 20 at Hunter’s Creek Golf and Country
Club in Greenwood. Proceeds from the Erskine Open help defray the
cost of the annual Flying Fleet Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony
held at Homecoming on the Erskine campus.
The tournament format will be Captain’s
Choice, and Hunter’s Creek will be allowing Erskine to use all
27 holes. Each team will still play only 18 holes, but using 27 holes
will allow for speedier play.
The entry fee will cover 18 holes
of golf (Captain’s Choice format), golf cart use, free driving
range balls, refreshments prior to tournament, hat, a chance to win
a car from Craig Motor Company, other awards, and a late lunch following
the tournament. Prizes will be given for closest to pin, longest drive,
oldest competitor, and farthest traveled.
Cost for the tournament is $60
per person, with a $10 fee added for reservations received after June
