"An Evening In The Home Of J.S. Bach" With Aulos Ensemble And Soprano Julianne Baird At Erskine College Feb. 19

The Aulos Ensemble, whose "original instrument" performances have been enjoyed in New York City and throughout the world, will present "An Evening in the Home of J.S. Bach," with Julianne Baird as guest soloist, Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bowie Arts Center on the Erskine College campus. Please note that this location has been changed from Memorial Hall to the Bowie Arts Center. Admission is $5, and is free with Erskine I.D.

The Aulos Ensemble, formed in 1973, has become one of America's most highly regarded and best known original instrument ensembles, achieving worldwide acclaim through extensive tours, recordings, and radio broadcasts.

Baird, a native of Statesville, N.C., teaches at Rutgers University and is the author of Introduction to "The Art of Singing" by Johann Friedrich Agricola (Cambridge University Press). She has nearly 100 recordings to her credit and has appeared as a soloist with many major symphony orchestras.
