ERSKINE SEMINARY HOSTS ROBINSON LECTURER, WHITESIDES PREACHER

Dr. Richard Pratt DUE WEST, SC - Erskine Theological Seminary presents a packed program April 3-4 with both the Robinson Lecturer and Whitesides Preacher visiting the campus for the Spring '97 Conference. Richard Pratt, Ph.D., (left) Professor of Old Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary, will serve as this year's Robinson Lecturer. Frank Harrington, D.D., Senior Minister at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta will serve as Whitesides Preacher.

Dr. R.J. Gore, Director of Continuing Education at Erskine Theological Seminary, has released a schedule of events for the two-day conference. Dr. Pratt will deliver the first Robinson Lecture of the event on April 3 at 10 a.m. He will speak again at 2 p.m. that afternoon, and conclude with the third Robinson Lecture at 9:30 a.m. April 4. Dr. Harrington will preach at 11 a.m. on April 3 and again at 10:30 a.m. on April 4, in addition to conducting the Whitesides workshop at 7 p.m. April 3.

Dr. Richard Pratt is the author of Every Thought Captive, Pray With Your Eyes Open, He Gave Us Stories, and Designed for Dignity, as well as numerous articles in scholarly journals and in The Eerdmans' Bible Dictionary.

Dr. Frank HarringtonDr. Frank Harrington (left) is a minister in the Presbyterian Church, USA serving Peachtree Presbyterian Church, a congregation of over15,000 members, and is also a popular speaker and author.

Erskine's oldest lecture series, established in 1961 by an anonymous donor, the Robinson Lectures honor the memory of Richard Lee Robinson, Dean of the Seminary from 1933 to 1939. The Whitesides series is made possible by a fund established in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Major V. Whitesides, lay leaders in the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Gastonia, N.C.

Continuing Education Credit is available for the Spring '97 Conference at Erskine Theological Seminary. Registration fee is $5, with luncheon cost set at $8 (RSVP).
