Science Building Dedication Saturday, January 30
DUE WEST, S.C. Erskine College has announced that the new $7.4 million Daniel-Moultrie Science Center will be officially dedicated and opened with a ceremony at the building, on the corner of Bonner and Wightman Streets, Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, beginning at 11 a.m.
Erskine Vice President for Development Lee Logan stated that all alumni and friends of the college are invited to attend the dedication. Parking for the handicapped and a drop-off area will be available at the building site, with other parking provided at Belk Hall, behind Moffatt Dining Hall, and in the McCain Library lot.
Part of the program will be held outdoors, weather permitting, and tours of the facility will follow.
Classes will be held for the first time in the building two days after the dedication. Science faculty members, assisted by students, are packing up equipment in preparation for the move from Reid Science Hall to the new facility.
