EVANS SIGNS WITH ERSKINE

Erskine College has signed Wesley Evans of Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, where he was a three year starter for Trojans' head coach Mike Gossett. Evans, a 6-4 forward averaged 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots per game his senior season. Evans was named to the All-State team, as well as All-Region 2-AAAA and The Charlotte Observer All-Area team. He was also chosen as the Northwestern Boy's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year.

Erskine head coach Ralph Patterson says that Evans should be a solid addition, "We are excited that Wesley Evans has joined us at Erskine. He is a very important addition to our program."

Evans joins other Flying Fleet signees Joseph Brice, a 6-7 forward from Greenville High School and Fork Union Military Academy, and Kent Ledbetter, an All-State point guard from Seneca, SC.

Erskine is a member of the NCAA Division ll Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference.
