Erskine Blows Out Limestone, Opens Tournament Play Wednesday

The Erskine College men's soccer team closed the season with a 9-3 blowout victory over Limestone Saturday, behind four goals from senior Dhoud Samba and three goals from David Jones.

Samba finished the regular season with 29 goals, ranking him in the top five nationally in NCAA Division II.Erskine finished the regular season with an 8-10 record, 6-5 in the CVAC. Limestone fell to 6-9-1, 4-6-1 in the CVAC.

Erskine will play in the first round of the CVAC Tournament Wednesday at Pfieffer at 2 p.m. Pfeiffer is the No. 3 seed while Erskine is the No. 6 seed. If the Fleet wins, they will move on to the Final Four in Barton Saturday.
