Summer School Session Runs June 5-July 8
Just when the Erskine College campus was getting a little
too quiet, students began registering for the summer session at Erskine
College Monday, June 5.
Summer school students signed up for courses offered
in English, history, sociology, and physical education. In addition,
a course in teaching driver education at the secondary school level
is being offered by Dr. Harry Stille.
Other professors teaching in summer school include returning
visiting instructor John Kluttz, an Erskine alumnus on the faculty
of Washington College, Chestertown, Maryland, who is teaching English;
and Erskine professors Dr. David Grier (history), Dr. Gid Alston (physical
education), and Josie McCloud (sociology).
According to Erskine registrar Charlene Haynes, who
said registration went smoothly, Erskine will offer one session of
summer school only this year, ending July 8, a change from the two-session
program of previous years.
