Arts Performances At Erskine Scheduled For Sept. 24 And 25

A guest artist concert honoring two Erskine professors emeriti and a Fine Arts Series performance of three Latin American musicians will be offered Sept. 24 and 25.

Dr. Lynn Rice-See, Professor of Piano at East Tennessee State University, will offer a recital Monday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. in Memorial Hall on the Erskine College campus as part of the Koonts-Lampton Keyboard Series at Erskine. Established in 1994 in honor of Erskine music professors emeriti Cortlandt Koonts and Shirley Lampton, both residents of Due West, the Koonts-Lampton Keyboard Series features prominent pianists and organists. Admission is free and the public is welcome.

The Latin-American trio "Triángulo," joining the talents of Venezuelan flutist Marco Granados, Brazilian cellist Gustavo Tavares, and Uraguayan pianist Pablo Zinger, will perform at Erskine College Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bowie Arts Center on the Erskine campus. "Triángulo" has been acclaimed by audiences and critics in the United States as well as in Brazil, Germany, Norway and Slovenia. This performance is a part of the Fine Arts Series at Erskine. Admission is $5 for the general public and free with Erskine I.D. Erskine students attending receive double convocation credit. Seating is limited.
