Fall Visitation Dates Announced

Erskine College Admissions Director Jeff Craft and his staff have planned a series of fall events offering prospective students and their families an opportunity to get acquainted with Erskine.

Erskine Preview Day, to be held Saturday, Sept. 25, is open to all high school students and their parents. Students and their families will enjoy campus tours and informative meetings with faculty and students, learn about student life and athletics, look at a dorm room, and if they desire, attend an Erskine Fine Arts presentation as well as a soccer game. Shenandoah Shakespeare Express, an outstanding company of young actors, will present Hamlet, and the Erskine men's and women's soccer teams will take the field against Barton College.

Erskine Experience Weekends are planned for Sunday and Monday, Oct. 10-11 and Friday and Saturday, Nov. 5-6th. These weekends are designed for high school seniors only, allowing them to become Erskine students for a day or two. They will be able to spend the night in a dorm, sit in on classes, and attend a movie or other student-sponsored event on campus. Overnight housing is limited to approximately 50 students, and registration is required.

E.B. Kennedy Semifinals Weekend, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 3-4, is for top nominees selected from applicants for the E.B. Kennedy Scholarship. Semifinalists will be interviewed and will get a closer look at Erskine College.

The Great Erskine College Lock-In, held Friday through Sunday, Nov. 19-21, is open to high school juniors and seniors. Organized by the chaplain's office, this is a weekend of fun, worship, and biblical teaching with a variety of activities and experiences. Activities will range from crazy games on the soccer field to music and praise with the group Silers Bald. Challenging messages from author Steve Garber will enrich the weekend.
