Start. The animation shows to charged parallel plates, electric field vectors, and equipotential contours. You can drag the bottom plate and see the charge change (click and drag on the box in the center of the bottom plate). Charge is measured in microCoulombs (10-6 C) and the position is measured in millimeters. You can also see the voltage of each plate and the electric field values by clicking in the animation.


The pink and light blue dots represent induced charges. Describe and explain what happens to the induced charge as you move the plates closer together.
