CLOTHING FOR CHILDREN NEEDED NOW !

Please ask your church, your school, your friends & neighbors to help!

Thanks to your overwhelming response to the needs of the Iraqi children our focus is now able to change to seasonal clothing needs as cooler weather draws near. Please help us if you are able.

We have gotten a lot of response to the school supplies- so we are  changing the focus to clothing and shoes? We could collect that over the rest of the summer and into the fall. Any new or used clothing in good condition would work. It all should be washed (including the new) and repackaged- to get rid of the cardboard, pins, etc. Anything that would fit small K-4s through fairly large 12-13 year old children would work. Shoes, particularly sneakers, would be welcome. Not name brand- but good shoes that you can buy at Pic n Pay or some other similar shoe store. All sizes. We will collect these for distribution when the cooler weather arrives. Thanks. Chaplain R.J. Gore

Well, the need is almost endless. The kinds of things that would be helpful; pads of paper notebooks pencils pens colored pencils chalk hard candy toothbrush/toothpaste generic toy- paddle ball, rubber ball, balloons small box of crayons

Nothing larger than a shoe box and try to aim for a weight NTE 13 ounces, so this limits what can be done (the size and weight will expedite shipping)  NOT INCLUDING CLOTHING & SHOES  These may exceed the limits as needed.

To include in your shoebox a note that says "These gifts are given by American Christians in Jesus' name." click here and then print the page and cut out the translation. (this should be on the inside!!!!!)

The poverty here is incredible. Perhaps some of the students may want to get their churches involved.  We have a whole country full of impoverished children and schools lacking in bare necessities. You simply would not believe it! So- we can invite everyone who wants to to do a box.

They can be shipped to me with SCHOOL written on outside. That way I will know these are not care packages for me!!! Any churches anywhere who want to help, we will find a way to get these goods to the schools for the children Chaplain R J Gore, Jr HHC, 172d CSG LSA Anaconda APO AE 09391
