The title of his presentation is: What Does the Universe Tell Us About God?  \n\n\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Bio: Dr. Bloom completed his B.A. At Grinnell College. He subsequently earned a Ph.D. In physics from Cornell University and a Ph.D. In Ancient Near Eastern Studies from Annenberg Research Institute. Dr. Bloom also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Biblical Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania. He is the founding director of Talbot School of Theology’s Master or Arts in Science and Religion program. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Students\, faculty\, staff\, and the public are welcome to attend. Admission is free![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Dr. Martha Merritt is dean and the Carole M. Weinstein Chair of Global Education at the University of Richmond. \nShe has lived and worked in five countries\, including four years at Oxford University where she earned her doctorate in Russian politics. She has taught political science and peace studies\, and guided global engagement for Richmond\, the University of Notre Dame\, and the University of Chicago. Her priorities are connecting the local and global as well as deepening faculty and student connection abroad. \nFleet Fellowship credit will be offered for this event.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]The Joseph T. Stukes Lecture series brings a distinguished lecturer in history to Erskine College each year. The fund was established by students and colleagues of Stukes\, who served as professor of history and vice president for academic affairs at Erskine College.
