SUMMARY:The Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes Collection
DESCRIPTION:The Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes Collection\, previously on display at Birmingham-Southern College since 2009\, now resides in Bowie Seminary at Erskine and is open to the public. Among items in the new display are two early editions of the first Holmes story “A Study in Scarlet\,” published in 1887\, the original script for “The Adventure of the Black Barnet” (acquired from the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University)\, and more! \nThis collection is generously on loan from collectors Richard and Joshua Green\, and the exhibit is planned to continue for the current academic year (2025-2026) with possible plans for an official opening reception. \nFor more information\, contact Alan Pitts at alan.pitts@erskine.edu.

He subsequently earned a Ph.D. In physics from Cornell University and a Ph.D. In Ancient Near Eastern Studies from Annenberg Research Institute. Dr. Bloom also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Biblical Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania.
