Joining the Dode Phillips Club is as easy as making a gift to support our football student-athletes.

  • Make an online gift or call us at (864) 379-8881 to make your gift over the phone. Checks should be made payable to Erskine College (please write Dode Phillips Club in the memo) and mailed to: Office of Advancement, P.O. Box 338, Due West, SC 29639

What are the stadium policies? 

 Prohibited and Permitted Items Policy: 

All carried items are subject to search. Fans are encouraged not to bring any bags or items that need inspection as our goal is to get all patrons in the stadium as quickly as possible. For the safety of our fans, players, officials, and staff, the following items are prohibited:

  • All non-transparent bags or items, including backpacks, binocular/camera cases, cinch bags, computer bags, diaper bags, fanny packs, purses larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches, etc.
  • Outside food or drink
  • Containers or coolers (unless with medical supplies), including cans and bottles
  • Baby seats or strollers
  • Balloons
  • Seat cushions with covers, zippers, clasps, pockets, or any other device that would allow concealment of any item
  • Selfie Sticks
  • Umbrellas
  • Signs, flags, or banners (with or without poles)
  • Firearms, weapons, or explosives (including fireworks)
  • Laser pointers
  • Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or tobacco products
  • Pets (except assistance animals)
  • Any item deemed by staff to be dangerous or inappropriate.

 

Prohibited items that are discovered during security inspections at the stadium entrances must be either returned to the owner’s vehicle or discarded. Unlawful items that are discovered during security inspections are subject to confiscation, and the person in possession of those items may be denied entrance into the stadium and is subject to arrest. Any prohibited item discovered inside the stadium is subject to confiscation.

 

The following items are permitted in the stadium:

  • Small clutch purses no larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches
  • Mobile phones
  • Binoculars (without case)
  • Cameras (without case)
  • Radios with headsets
  • Diapers and non-medically necessary items for babies and young children (must be carried in a clear bag)

Is my child permitted to attend games without me?  

Children shall always have an adult with them while in J.W. Babb Stadium. Ticket holders assume all risk for themselves and their children upon entering J.W. Babb Stadium.

What concessions will be available, and when are they open? 

Concessions:

Aramark will be providing the concession stands for all Erskine College home football games. Concession stands will open 90 minutes prior to kick-off and close 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game. Cash or credit is accepted.

Can I bring a pet with me? 

Dogs or pets of any kind are NOT allowed in J.W. Babb Stadium except for assistance animals.

Can I bring my drone with me? 

Drones and unmanned aircraft use is not authorized on, around, or above the athletic facilities without approval from the FAA and Erskine College, and any such use is subject to state and federal laws.

Can I go out on the field? 

No one is allowed on the playing field or sidelines before, during, or after the game without proper credentials. Fans will not be allowed to access the field following the game.

Can I bring food and drinks into the stadium? 

No outside food, beverages, coolers, bottles, or cans are allowed into J.W. Babb Stadium at any time, except for medically necessary items carried in an appropriate container or clear bag.

What if there are changes to game times or dates? 

Game Times: 

All game dates and times are subject to change. Erskine Athletics will publicize any time changes. Ticket refunds will NOT be made available because of a change in kickoff times.

Lightning Policy: 

Should a game be interrupted by lightning, all fans will be immediately asked to vacate the seating area of J.W. Babb Stadium and shelter in their vehicles. Re-entry will be permitted with the original ticket.

When can I enter the stadium, and do I have to go through a security checkpoint?  

Gate Inspections:                                         

All parcels, bags, and the like objects are subject to inspection upon entry into J.W. Babb Stadium.

Gates Open:                                                                 

Gates will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

What if I lose an item at the game or find a lost item? 

If you find an item, please return it to the nearest usher. These items will be taken to the command post tent located next to the concession stand on the north side of the stadium. Lost items may be recovered from this location during the event. If an item is not claimed, the item will be transported to the Erskine College Campus Police office. To recover a lost item after the completion of an event, please call 864-379-6514.

Where and when can I park?

Parking lots will open three (3) hours prior to kickoff.   

Dode Phillips Club Parking:Gray, Garnet, and Gold Lots include reserved spaces for various Dode Phillips Club giving levels and guests of the College. 

Public Parking:                                          

General and RV/oversized vehicle parking is in the White Lot (enter from E. Northside Drive) for a cost of $10.00 per vehicle or $20 per RV or oversized vehicle.

Student Parking:                 

Current Erskine students may park for no charge with a valid student parking pass in the student lot. The student lot is accessed from the GHS bus entrance on E. Northside Drive.

Handicapped Parking:                                                  

Accessible parking is in the Gray Lot with a limited number of spaces available to those with a valid state-issued handicapped parking placard. Game day personnel are available to transport handicapped fans into the stadium by golf cart from the handicapped parking lot. Fans may also drop off handicapped patrons in the circle drive at the main entrance of J.W. Babb Stadium.

Prohibited Parking:

Vehicles are not allowed to park on the streets surrounding Greenwood High School.

What pregame and postgame activities are available or permitted? 

Fleet Walk:

Arrive early and cheer for the Flying Fleet as they parade through the parking lots to the stadium entrance approximately 2 ½ hours prior to kickoff.

Pregame: 

Erskine’s Flying Fleet will take the field for pregame warm-ups approximately 75 minutes prior to game time.

Pregame Ceremonies: 

Pregame ceremonies for each Erskine home game—including special recognitions, starting lineups, and performances of the National Anthem—begin 20 minutes prior to kickoff.

Postgame: 

Fans are not allowed on the playing surface following the conclusion of the game.

Are restrooms available?

Men’s and women’s restrooms are located on the south side of J.W. Babb Stadium.

OTHER POLICIES

Press Box:

Proper credentials are required for access to the press box through the elevator or stairwells.

Solicitation:
Solicitation in any parking lot or within the athletic facilities at GHS, without the written consent of Erskine College or its agents, is strictly prohibited. This is including but not limited to:

  • Distributing leaflets or other printed material.
  • Distributing products or performing services, whether for consideration or for free.
  • Taking surveys or otherwise interfering with the free movement of guests.

Stadium Seat Cushions: 

Fans visiting J.W. Babb Stadium will be allowed to bring in their own stadium seat cushions. Stadium cushions should not encroach on another seat space and should be used in a safe and respectful manner.

Stadium Readmittance:
Stadium readmittance is not permitted at J.W. Babb Stadium.

Tailgating Policy:                                             

Tailgating offers a special time for reunions of family, friends, and alumni, and we are pleased that you and your family have chosen to be a part of Erskine football. Erskine football is a family-friendly event, and we expect all fans to celebrate responsibly. We appreciate your observance of our rules to avoid removal from the event, loss of tailgating and ticket privileges, student disciplinary action, or arrest. Parking areas and tailgating will open four (4) hours prior to kickoff and close one (1) hour after the game has ended. Please adhere to the following regulations:

  • Tailgate directly behind your vehicle.
  • Do not save spaces.
  • Do not block lanes with tents or other items.
  • Keep music volume low.
  • No charcoal grills or firepits; gas grills (propane tank up to 10lbs maximum) are permitted.
  • No glass containers – use cans, plastic cups, and plastic bottles.
  • Clean up your area before entering the game – waste, food items, and trash must be taken with you.
  • Always exercise caution and keep a proper lookout for tailgate equipment and uneven surfaces.
  • No Drones. The use of unmanned aircraft systems and other remotely controlled aircraft or ground vehicles is strictly prohibited.
  • Greenwood High School is an alcohol– and tobacco-free campus.
  • NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE.

Students are subject to policies in the Student Handbook. Everyone else is subject to rules and regulations of the State of South Carolina, the City of Greenwood, Erskine College, and the Erskine College Police Department. Any violations of this policy may result in termination of tailgate privileges and criminal prosecution and/or action taken through the Erskine College Police Department, the Dean of Students, or the Greenwood Police Department.

Exceptions to this policy may be granted by the Director of Athletics.

ERSKINE COLLEGE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST, STOLEN, DESTROYED, DUPLICATED, OR COUNTERFEIT PASSES OR TICKETS AND MAY REFUSE TO HONOR SUCH PASSES OR TICKETS.

Ticket Information:                                                   

Fleet Football will ONLY use mobile tickets for single game and season pass purchases for all games. This will allow fans an easy way to purchase tickets and enter the stadium in a touchless manner simply by using a cell phone or a printed copy of the ticket. Tobacco Use:                                                                   

All forms of smoking/tobacco use are prohibited at J.W. Babb Stadium. Greenwood High School is a tobacco-free campus. All use of tobacco and all smoking and vaping is prohibited on GHS property.

Visitor Seating and Stands:
Seating for visiting fans is located behind the visitor’s sideline. All visitor seating is general admission only. Click here to purchase a ticket. Visiting fans will enter the facility through the main entry gate located on the north side of the stadium.

Weapons:
Absolutely no weapons are permitted at J.W. Babb Stadium.
