Erskine Open at The Links at Stoney Point

 

The 49th annual Erskine Open is hosted by Erskine Athletics and is open to the public.

 

The 49th annual Erskine Open golf tournament takes place at The Links at Stoney Point, an acclaimed golf course in the upstate designed by Tom Jackson. The tournament concludes with an award luncheon in the Clubhouse.

Tournament Details

The Erskine Open is a captain’s choice format 18-hole golf tournament. Players may register as individuals, in pairs (teams of two) or in foursomes to compete. You may register and request to play with another team, or we will squad you at random. To make this request, please note it on your registration form.

Players may provide handicap during ticket registration for squadding purposes, but it is not required.

Scoring will be managed by The Links at Stoney Point and communicated to all tournament participants at the time of the event.

Tournament History

The first Erskine Open was held in 1974 at the Cooper’s Creek Golf Club in Leesburg, South Carolina as a tournament for alumni to gather and enjoy a day of “hits and giggles.” Robert “Whitey” Adams ’64 organized the tournament and served as tournament director for a number of years. The Erskine Open travelled to golf courses around the upstate and included numerous games and pranks.

Proceeds from this tournament benefit the Erskine Hall of Fame.

Note: Tournament will take place rain or shine. In the event the tournament is cancelled due to severe weather, each golfer will receive a gift certificate for a free round of golf at The Links at Stoney Point.

Title Sponsor $10,000

Luncheon Sponsor $1,500

Hole in One Sponsor $2,000

Pin Flag Sponsor $2,500

Includes your company name/logo on flags at each green, sponsor name and logo on day of tournament information, recognition at awards ceremony, and recognition on the erskinesports.com website and social media, team of four, golf, cart, lunch and a chance to win a door prize.

Beverage Cart Sponsor $1,500

Includes your company name and logo on day of tournament information, your company signage displayed on course as Beverage Cart Sponsor, your company name and logo on beverage cart, recognition on the erskinesports.com website and social media, and opportunity to provide your company swag to players, team of four, golf, cart, lunch and a chance to win a door prize.

Driving Range Sponsor $750

Includes your company name and logo on day of tournament information, your company banner at the driving range, recognition on the erskinesports.com website and social media, and opportunity to provide your company swag to players.

Golf Cart Sponsor $500

Includes your company name and logo on day of tournament information, your company signage displayed on the golf carts during the event, recognition at the luncheon as Golf Cart Sponsor, recognition on the erskinesports.com website and social media, and opportunity to provide your company swag to players.

Snack Sponsor $250

Includes your company name on day of tournament information, each player will receive a snack bag that will include sponsor logo on a sticker (your company provides), option to deliver snacks to players halfway through tournament, tournament will purchase snacks.

Scorecard Sponsor $250

Includes your company name and logo on day of tournament information, your company name on scorecards and recognition at awards ceremony.

Hole Sponsor (multiple available) $200

Includes a hole sponsor sign your company name and logo displayed on course.

Individual Prize Sponsors $200 (Closest to the Pin)

Includes your company name on day of tournament information, your company name and logo signage at the hole, may award prize to winner at awards ceremony, tournament provides prize.
