Erskine license plates now available online

Many Erskine alumni sport specialty license plates on their vehicles in honor of their alma mater. Now it will be easier than ever for alumni to advertise their Erskine connection.

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced that the Erskine specialty plate will be one of 84 plates offered online through the DMV website at www.scdmvonline.com.

According to the DMV, “The new online service allows customers to exchange their current license plate for a specialty plate or replace a lost, stolen or damaged plate with the same design.”

Erskine Alumni Association President Nan Campbell noted that some 60 percent of Erskine alumni are in South Carolina, and she believes this development will be of interest to them. “This will be one more place to keep Erskine’s name on the public’s radar,” she said.
