President
Dr. Steven C. Adamson is the 18th President of Erskine College. He brings more than thirty years of combined experience in higher education, corporate leadership, and organizational strategy.
Before entering higher education, Dr. Adamson worked in defense contracting, management consulting, and international telecommunications, leading technical teams and large-scale projects in both domestic and global contexts. He later served in administrative leadership roles at Reformation Bible College, The Bible Seminary, and Arizona Christian University, where he held the position of Provost and Executive Vice President.
Dr. Adamson earned a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He completed ABD doctoral studies in Operations Research at The George Washington University, holds an M.Div. from Sangre de Cristo Seminary in Colorado, and completed a Ph.D. at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. During his doctoral program, he spent extended periods in Scotland conducting research and providing pulpit supply for several congregations in the Free Church of Scotland.
In addition to his work at Erskine, Dr. Adamson has served on the Board of Sangre de Cristo Seminary and as the Executive Director of the Association of Reformed Theological Seminaries. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of Highland Theological College in Dingwall, Scotland, and is the Chairman of the Board of the Charter Institute at Erskine, which authorizes and oversees K–12 charter schools across South Carolina.
He and his wife Von live in Due West, South Carolina.
