Campus Life

Holistic Student Development at Erskine

Erskine College has been known for its close-knit campus community since its founding in 1839.

We seek to foster holistic student development through close interpersonal relationships. Our goal is to help our students grow into mature adults who pursue lives marked by service and leadership.

We offer students the personal, physical, spiritual, and academic support they need. Our staff members view each student as an individual with value and potential, and are invested in the lives of our students.

Residence Life & Housing

Residence life at Erskine facilitates strong community among our students. Resident Directors (RDs) and Resident Assistants (RAs) work hard to build relationships on their halls and in their buildings, both through fun events and everyday life.

Student Activities

Erskine students get involved in a wide variety of campus activities. The Student Development Division hosts events throughout the year, such as late-night breakfasts, trivia nights, grocery bingo, and intramurals.

In addition to campus-wide events, many students join clubs and organizations, including music ensembles, campus ministries, and academic honor societies.

Spiritual Life

We encourage students to grow in their Christian walk, or to come to Christ for the first time if they have never trusted in Him.

We hold Fleet Fellowship each week, and many students also join campus ministries or Bible studies. Campus ministries and Student Development offer opportunities for students to grow as leaders.

Student Success

We equip students for success in the classroom and in life beyond college. Students are encouraged to take advantage of career services, convocations on success in college, the Write Here Center, and Supplemental Instruction—out-of-class review sessions led by peer tutors.
