The 40th annual Erskine Open is set for Friday, May 16, at Hunter’s Creek Golf and Country Club in Greenwood.

The tournament is a fund-raiser to help cover the costs of the Erskine Athletic Hall of Fame banquet, scheduled every other year at homecoming.

The Erskine Open features a Captain’s Choice format, and each foursome will play 18 holes.

This year’s entry fee is $100 per person and includes one put for the putting contest, lunch, greens fees, cart, two mulligans and one red tee (mulligans and red tees will not be sold at the tournament), an Erskine Open gift pack, and chances to win door prizes.

Registration starts at 9:45 a.m., with the putting contest also beginning at 9:45. Putting contest finals begin at 10:45 a.m. Players will have an early lunch at 11, and the shotgun start is at noon.

Awards are scheduled for 5 p.m., with prizes for longest drive hole and closest to the pin hole.

Please make checks payable to “Erskine Open” and mail by May 9 to Erskine Open, Alumni Office, P.O. Box 338, Due West, SC  29639.
