Erskine College junior Aaron Brown of Mount Pleasant, S.C., was one of four athletes profiled this fall in FCA Magazine, a bimonthly publication of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

On the “Team FCA” page in the magazine, Brown revealed that his favorite Bible story is the account of David and Goliath in I Samuel, explaining, “David stepped up in faith, overcoming a giant that others could not because of fear,” and adding, “I want to be fearless and faithful.”

Brown, who serves as president of FCA at Erskine, said the organization “has given me a way to further the use of the platform of sports that God has given me.”

A member of the men’s basketball team, Brown, who is majoring in athletic training, was recently named to Garnet Circle, which honors the 25 currently enrolled students who achieved the highest scholastic average during the previous academic year. He was a member of this year’s homecoming court.

“Aaron is an outstanding young man who has taken over FCA leadership with great enthusiasm and passion,” Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and Men’s Basketball Coach Mark Peeler said.

“He serves the Lord in everything he does. It is a blessing to have Aaron on our team and on this campus because he represents the Lord in everything he does.”
