‘Musical Merriment’ in Bowie Arts Center Dec. 5

Christmas Merriment double cropThe Erskine College Department of Music will present “Musical Merriment for Christmas” Saturday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m. in the Bowie Arts Center. Erskine’s instrumental ensembles, Sinfonia and Jazz Band, will perform, with readings by Assistant Professor of English Shane Bradley. Admission is free.

The program includes musical compositions and arrangements by Victor Herbert, Michael Praetorius, Camille Saint-Saens, and others as well as readings from works by Charles Dickens, John Betjeman, Beatrix Potter, William Shakespeare, and others.
