Spring play to be staged May 6-7

The Erskine Players will stage You Can’t Take it With You in a reader’s theater format Friday, May 6, at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 7, at 3:30 p.m. Both performances are in Lesesne Auditorium and admission is free.

Written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart in 1936 and released as a film directed by Frank Capra in 1938, the play is a romantic comedy centering around an ambitious businessman whose son falls in love with one of the stenographers working for his father’s company.

Directing the play are two members of the Class of 2014, Rebecca Pearson and TJ Fisher.

Cast members include, in alphabetical order, Sarah Ashbrook, Jordan Baker, David Bates, Hope Crenshaw, Taylor Hedger, Crawford Krebs, Andrew LeGrand, Maya Moorman, L.J. Morgan, Ben Powell, Rachel Rivers, and Sarah Vermazen.

Technical crew members are Halley Ham, AnnaTaylor Hydrick, and Amanda Stevenson.
