Erskine students and faculty members, with Erskine Art Department Chair Kerri Boyd, created and donated 40 bowls to “Empty Bowls,” the major fund-raising event for the Greenwood Soup Kitchen.

So far this year’s event has raised more than $30,000 to assist the organization in feeding the hungry.

In addition to the fund-raising dinner Oct. 13—in which all who purchased tickets were invited to enjoy a meal and take home a handcrafted bowl as a keepsake—bowls are being sold at Main & Maxwell in Greenwood through the end of October, with all proceeds going to the Greenwood Soup Kitchen.
