Convocation events begin Feb. 6 with ARP Moderator’s address

The Rev. Lee Shelnutt, Moderator of the General Synod of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, will speak at the first Erskine convocation of the spring semester Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m. in the Due West ARP Church.

Additional convocation highlights for the semester include a vocation panel discussion Feb. 15; a town hall meeting Feb. 22, in which students will submit written questions for response by  Erskine administrators; an Ethiopian art exhibit March 8, displaying artifacts from the collection Erskine College alumna Dr. Jo Ann Griffith, a retired missionary; and the Francis Cardwell Lecture April 5, delivered by Erskine College alumna Elinor Griffin.

A number of other speakers and events will be offered this spring, and Erskine’s final convocation session will be a literary society debate April 19.
